Surgeons Choice Medical Center is a patient centered health care facility and physician owned destination of care focusing on all hand, joint, orthopedic and sports medicine. In 2004, in an ambitious push to bring hospitality back to the hospital, a small group of top Metro-Detroit surgeons decided to create their own surgical hospital; one that provided patients with the best possible care in a small, easy-to-manage environment that truly embraces the best patient experience. Surgeons Choice Medical Center has an exciting opportunity for a Controller. An ideal candidate will has a passion to serve people to improve their quality of life and empower them on their health journey..

Requirements: 

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting is required.
• Master's Degree in Accounting preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of successful Controller/CFO experience required in Hospital Setting or Surgical Center
• 2-4 years of hospital experience is required.
• 2 - 4 years previous management experience required over revenue cycle in a hospital setting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Plans directs, controls and evaluates all functions and activities of the Corporations Finance department’s daily operations. Manages the Accounts Payable and Billing departments. Assists/advises administrators and department managers in matters related to budget, reimbursement, cost accounting, revenue cycle, and all other financial operations.
