Position Overview (This is located in Archdale, NC!)

We are seeking a skilled Upholstery Sewer to join a furniture manufacturing team. This role is ideal for candidates with upholstery sewing experience who can work with a variety of materials and maintain high-quality craftsmanship standards. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with strong long-term earning potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate industrial sewing machines, including Juki and Adler equipment
• Sew a wide variety of materials such as vinyl, leather, and commercial-grade fabrics
• Work with thick and thin materials, including plastic-backed and moisture barrier fabrics
• Match patterns and align stripes (horizontal and vertical) accurately
• Maintain consistent seams (typically ½”, occasionally 3/8”)
• Ensure consistent stitch quality and count
• Perform top stitching and, preferably, double-needle stitching
• Follow supervisor instructions regarding seam allowances and stitch settings

Qualifications

• Prior upholstery sewing experience preferred
• (Automotive or apparel sewing experience may be considered but is less directly applicable)
• Ability to adapt to different sewing machines and materials
• Strong attention to detail and consistency in stitching
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain production standards
• Basic English communication skills for working with team members and supervisors
