Surge Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking a dedicated Full-time Lead Housekeeper to join our team. Primary Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):
- Lead by example in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of resident rooms, common areas, restrooms, recreational spaces, and other areas throughout the facility.
- Assist in coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with State, Federal, facility, and company standards.
- Support the Director of Housekeeping Services by ensuring departmental procedures and cleaning protocols are followed consistently.
- Help train, mentor, and guide housekeeping staff to promote quality performance and efficiency.
- Monitor daily cleaning assignments and ensure work schedules are completed accurately and on time.
- Clean and polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, windowsills, room heating/cooling units, and other facility surfaces as assigned.
- Collect, remove, and properly dispose of trash while relining receptacles with clean liners.
- Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate department.
- Promote a safe, sanitary, and organized environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
- Assist with special cleaning projects and provide floor coverage as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous housekeeping experience required; healthcare or long-term care experience preferred.
- Prior leadership, supervisory, or lead experience is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently while supporting and directing team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to lift 40–50 pounds.
Salary: $42,000.00 - 45,000.00 annually
