About the Role:
Surfside Dental Inc is looking for a motivated and skilled Dental Assistant (RDA or DA) to join our team in sunny Oceanside, CA! This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a patient-focused dental practice where your skills and passion for oral healthcare will truly shine.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, and cleanings
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatory rooms between patients
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) as directed
- Greet patients, review medical histories, and ensure patient comfort throughout treatment
- Maintain accurate patient records and document clinical notes in dental software
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering as needed
- Educate patients on post-treatment care and proper oral hygiene practices
Qualifications:
- Current California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license or Dental Assistant (DA) certification preferred
- Experience with chairside assisting in a dental office for 1 year min
- Radiation Safety certification and ability to take dental X-rays
- Familiarity with dental software and electronic health records (EHR)
- Strong communication skills and a warm, patient-centered demeanor
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
