Dairy Worker

Surfing Goat Dairy, located in Upcountry Maui, is growing and looking for dairy workers to support its expanding Agritourism business. Purchased 2 years ago, the new ownership has made continuous improvements to the business, which was recently awarded "Top 10% of things to do world wide" by Trip Advisor.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Dairy Worker(s) to join our food production team. This role involves working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment focused on dairy processing and packaging. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and mechanical operations within the food industry. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality dairy products while maintaining strict compliance with industry regulations such as HACCP and CGMP.

Duties

• Operate dairy processing equipment ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
• Assist with the sanitation and cleaning of production areas, equipment, and utensils in compliance with HACCP and CGMP guidelines
• Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process, identifying and addressing any deviations
• Package dairy products efficiently while maintaining proper food safety protocols
• Perform routine mechanical checks and minor troubleshooting on machinery to ensure smooth operations
• Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and proper storage of ingredients and finished products
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper sanitation practices and use of personal protective equipment
• Support forklift operation for moving raw materials and finished goods as needed, following all safety regulations

Experience

• Prior experience in food processing or manufacturing environments is preferred but not required
• Knowledge of HACCP, CGMP, and food safety standards is highly desirable
• Experience with sanitation procedures within a food production setting is a plus
• Mechanical knowledge related to processing equipment or machinery is advantageous
• Familiarity with packaging processes and food industry regulations will be beneficial
• Previous forklift operation experience is preferred but training can be provided for qualified candidates

Pay: $ $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 30.0 per week
