ACCOUNT MANAGER – HOSPITALS SOUTHEAST REGION

ABOUT SURFACIDE

Founded in 2010, Surfacide is a leading UV-C technology and infection prevention company dedicated to creating cleaner, safer environments through scientifically proven, hospital-grade solutions. Proudly designed, engineered, and manufactured in Waukesha, Wisconsin, our patented Helios UV-C System is the world's first FDA-authorized Whole Room Microbial Reduction device — deploying 3 emitters in a single cycle with no repositioning required.

With installations across 600 hospitals, long-term care communities, and public venues worldwide, Surfacide is at the forefront of next-generation patient safety — bridging the gap between traditional cleaning methods and the future of infection prevention.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Account Manager for the Southeast Region, you'll be the face of Surfacide to our hospital clients — owning the relationship from post-sale implementation through long-term growth. You'll combine clinical insight, strategic thinking, and a consultative sales approach to drive product adoption, maximize utilization, and identify expansion opportunities within your account base.

This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a clinical environment, builds trust with stakeholders at every level, and takes genuine pride in improving patient outcomes.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for hospital accounts following the initial sale, building relationships across clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders
  • Lead quarterly business reviews to assess performance, surface insights, and identify opportunities for growth
  • Keep clients informed on product enhancements, software updates, and new capabilities to drive satisfaction and adoption

Implementation & Training

  • Oversee onboarding and implementation of the Surfacide Helios system, ensuring seamless integration into existing clinical workflows
  • Develop deep expertise in Surfacide's training curriculum, best practices, and care environment applications
  • Conduct ongoing, role-specific training across multiple departments and care settings throughout each hospital

Account Growth & Retention

  • Proactively identify and pursue expansion opportunities — including additional systems, trade-ins, and new use cases — within the existing client base
  • Maintain SURFcare extended software and maintenance coverage renewal rates at 80% or above
  • Analyze system utilization data and collaborate with internal teams to develop action plans that maximize client ROI

Project & Operations Management

  • Conduct business and clinical workflow analyses to deliver informed recommendations on product deployment and usage
  • Facilitate regular workgroup meetings during implementation and post-installation to track milestones, manage deadlines, and keep projects on schedule
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date account records in CRM — documenting contacts, usage trends, service renewals, trainings, and key communications

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience: Background in healthcare capital sales, medical devices, SaaS, or infection prevention strongly preferred
  • Sales-minded: Proven ability to manage a book of business, identify growth opportunities, and meet or exceed retention and expansion targets
  • Clinically fluent: Comfortable navigating hospital environments and engaging with both clinical and administrative audiences
  • Self-directed: You take ownership, work independently, and drive results without waiting to be told what to do
  • Organized & strategic: You can manage multiple accounts and competing priorities without losing sight of the big picture
  • Communicator: Strong verbal and written communication skills; you know how to tailor your message to your audience
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Regional travel throughout the Southeast required (75% )
  • Current vendor credentialing and compliance with hospital vaccination requirements required
