Temporary Assembler

Position Summary

We are seeking reliable, detail-oriented Temporary Assemblers to support production of our HeliosTM UV disinfection systems. This position is responsible for assembling mechanical and electrical components, following standardized work instructions, and ensuring each system meets Surfacide's quality standards before shipment.

This is a temporary position with the potential for overtime based on production needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble Helios system components according to work instructions and engineering drawings.
• Build emitter assemblies, carts, cables, and related system components.
• Perform basic mechanical assembly using hand and power tools.
• Install wiring, connectors, brackets, and hardware.
• Verify parts and materials before assembly.
• Test completed assemblies and document results.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Report quality concerns, damaged parts, or production issues to the supervisor.
• Assist with packaging, labeling, and preparing completed systems for shipment.
• Support inventory counts and material organization as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous manufacturing or assembly experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and follow written work instructions.
• Comfortable using hand tools, drills, screwdrivers, torque drivers, and measuring devices.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Frequently lift and move up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive assembly tasks.
• Manual dexterity to assemble small components and connectors.

Preferred Skills

• Mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with electronic or medical device assembly.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing or 5S practices.
• Basic computer skills for recording production information.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• Full-time temporary assignment
• Overtime may be available based on production demands.
