Surfacide’s Helios System uses multiple UV-C light towers after manual cleaning to simultaneously achieve low-level disinfection, killing vegetative bacteria, some fungi, and viruses (including SARS-CoV-2).We are seeking a highly driven and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join our team full time. This is a high-visibility, growth-oriented role that will work directly with the CEO and play a key part in building the company’s financial infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting fundamentals, hands-on experience with financial reporting, and a proactive mindset toward improving processes and supporting leadership.This position is ideal for someone ready to take the next step into broader financial management. The Assistant Controller will take ownership of core accounting functions, support executive leadership with reporting and analysis, and grow into a Controller-level role as the company continues to scale.Candidates must live in the Greater Milwaukee Area.Responsibilities:Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements and present insights directly to the CEOManage sales tax filings and ensure proper documentation of customer tax exemption certificatesCoordinate with Surfacide’s external accounting firm on income tax filings, audits, and other compliance mattersOversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice and payment managementTrack expenses, monitor budgets, and prepare financial and operational reports for CEO reviewDevelop and improve accounting processes, workflows, and internal controlsSupport the CEO with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiativesTake on increasing levels of responsibility with a leadership path toward the Controller rolCompany DescriptionAt Surfacide, we believe that providing solutions people can trust is vital.
