Responsibilities

- Manage vendor relationships by overseeing performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, and resolving disputes efficiently.
- Maintain comprehensive document management systems to track contract versions, amendments, and related correspondence using tools such as Salesforce, DocuSign, ERP systems like PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.
- Ensure all contracts adhere to applicable procurement regulations such as Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), UCC law, and other federal or public sector purchasing standards.
- Conduct thorough contract reviews for legal compliance, intellectual property considerations, and risk mitigation; collaborate with legal teams on drafting and revising contractual language.
- Lead change management initiatives related to contract modifications or project scope adjustments while maintaining accurate records.
- Support business development by preparing proposals, pricing strategies, and technical documentation that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in procurement, vendor management, and contract negotiation within engineering or public sector environments.
- Strong understanding of procurement regulatory frameworks including FAR, UCC law, and federal acquisition processes.
- Demonstrated expertise in document review, contract management software (such as Salesforce or ERP systems), and records management best practices.
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with strategic planning capabilities to optimize vendor relationships and project outcomes.
- Knowledge of intellectual property law, legal drafting techniques, and compliance management practices essential for safeguarding organizational interests.
- Experience managing grant projects or public sector purchasing processes is highly desirable.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly through technical writing experience or proposal writing skills; familiarity with DocuSign for electronic signatures is a plus.
