Role Description
Seeking a highly organized Sales Estimator who is dedicated to exceptional customer service. The estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate quotes for Contractor and Homeowner projects. This role requires strong math skills, knowledge of countertop materials and the ability to collaborate with project managers, installers, contractors, and clients to ensure competitive and accurate proposals. The Sales Estimator is also responsible for meeting established sales quotas and building strong relationships with our client base. Key Responsibilities
- Review plans, project specifications, and client requirements to prepare accurate estimates.
- Calculate material quantities, fabrication needs, labor hours, and installation costs.
- Produce and send quotes/contracts to contractors and homeowners in a timely manner.
- Greet Walk in customers and handle incoming inquiries regarding new projects.
- Assist clients in showroom, as well as meet them onsite to review projects.
- Collaborate with project manager and other team members to provide highest quality of service and ensure all projects stay on track and are completed on schedule.
- Maintain current knowledge of countertop materials, fabrication methods, and industry pricing.
- Track project costs, update budgets, and communicate changes or discrepancies.
- Build strong working relationships with General Contractors & Designers to become their go-to Subcontractor. Actively pursue new relationships with contractors to build sales and client base.
- Represent and attend Association/Trade meetings as needed.
- Provide Admin, clerical and office sales support as needed.
Qualifications
- Ideally previous experience in estimating within construction industries.
- Knowledge of countertop materials (natural stone, quartz, wood, porcelain) and fabrication/installation processes.
- Proficiency or ability to quickly learn estimating software and project management tools.
- Proficiency in Outlook and Office 365 Software.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret plans and technical drawings.
- Sales experience, ability to ask for the job.
- Organized, self-motivated, dependable and able to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
