About the Role
We’re seeking a highly motivated early-career engineer or student to join our R&D team developing next-generation medical devices involving ultrasound technologies. This role is ideal for someone with a background in acoustics, ultrasound simulation, and mechanical design, with hands-on skills in CAD modeling and prototyping.
- Support design, analysis, and testing of ultrasound transducers, acoustic coupling systems, and mechanical assemblies for medical devices.
- Develop and refine CAD models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings suitable for prototyping and manufacturing.
- Conduct ultrasound and acoustic simulations to evaluate performance and optimize designs.
- Assist in prototype fabrication, benchtop testing, and data analysis.
- Document test results, design iterations, and experimental outcomes in compliance with medical device design controls.
- Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and biomedical engineers throughout the product development process.
- B.S. (completed or in progress) in Mechanical Engineering, Acoustics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Less than 2 years of relevant experience, including internships, co-ops, or academic research.
- Experience with ultrasound simulation tools.
- Proficiency in CAD and Matlab software.
- Familiarity with medical device design principles, materials, or biocompatibility is a plus.
- Strong analytical and hands-on problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation abilities.
