This individual will play a key role in planning and carrying out preclinical studies, contributing to the advancement of internal research programs. Qualifications of the In Vivo Scientist
- PhD in a relevant life sciences field such as immunology, cancer biology, or related discipline
- Several years of practical experience working with tumor-bearing animal models in either academic or industry settings
- Proven ability to independently design and execute studies and draw meaningful conclusions from data
- Experience with in vivo techniques such as surgical procedures and compound administration
- Familiarity with cell-based assays, tissue processing, and analytical methods such as flow cytometry; additional histological techniques are beneficial
- Experience with cell culture systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across functions
- Exposure to regulated research environments is advantageous
Key Responsibilities of the In Vivo Scientist
- Plan and carry out in vivo studies in partnership with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives
- Identify and implement suitable animal models and experimental approaches to assess therapeutic activity, safety, and biological mechanisms
- Conduct laboratory-based animal work, including dosing via multiple routes, tumor model establishment, imaging techniques, and routine monitoring
- Handle and process biological samples, including cell isolation and analysis using flow cytometry and immunoassays
- Analyze and interpret experimental findings, maintaining clear and thorough documentation
- Coordinate with external research organizations and collaborators as needed
Salary : $120,000 - $160,000
