Overview
The Reliability Network Engineer is responsible for supporting the reliability, performance, and scalability of our service provider network. This role focuses on day-to-day implementation tasks, network turn-ups, and assisting with escalations. You will work closely with the NOC, Infrastructure, and Sales Engineering teams to deliver reliable and high-performing network services.

Responsibilities:
- Network Turn-Up & Deployment:
- Provision and turn up new fiber access sites and customer services.
- Configure and test customer-facing services.
- Change Management:
- Implement approved network changes with a focus on minimizing risk and downtime.
- Document changes and validate post-change success criteria.
- NOC Support:
- Respond to NOC escalations and assist in troubleshooting Layer 2/Layer 3 network issues.
- Serve as an escalation point for trouble tickets that require engineering input.
- Operational Excellence:
- Maintain network diagrams, documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor network health and work proactively to identify and remediate potential issues.
- Collaboration:
- Partner with Sales Engineering and Project Management to deliver enterprise/E-Rate solutions.
- Collaborate with Tier 2/3 engineers on more complex issues and projects.
Qualifications
- Required Skills:
- Experience with routing and switching (Juniper preferred).
- VLAN Trunking, Q-in-Q, and tunneling experience.
- Hands-on experience with GPON and fiber builds is a plus.
- Preferred Experience:
- Juniper JNCIA-Junos or JNCIS-SP certification (or equivalent experience).
- Familiarity with Microtik, Adtran, and ADVA platforms.
- Familiarity with BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, and VPLS.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to problem solving.
- Soft Skills:
- Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
