Job Summary
Surf City Detox is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide quality nursing care to patients under the direction of registered nurses and physicians.
Responsibilities
- Conduct ASAM nursing assessments
- Documentation regarding the client’s presentation, mood and symptoms
- Provide clients support, compassion, and medication education
- Order medications per MD orders
- Communicate observations
- Complete medication documentation and destruction forms
- Observe and document clients self-administer medication
- Complete medication count between shifts
- Check client health status and vitals according to orders
Requirements
- Active CA LVN or RN license
- Must maintain current CPR and First Aid Certification
- TB testing required before hire
- Experience in addiction, and/or mental health preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be physically and mentally able to assist in an emergency situation
- Punctuality and dependability
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication in English
- Computer literacy and proficiency in typing is required
- Understanding and/or training in cultural diversity issues with clients
- Should be detailed oriented with the ability to timely and efficient
- Ability to lift at least 20lbs

- LVN: 1 year (Required)
