Duties
- Deliver hot and cold dishes from the kitchen to guests’ tables efficiently, maintaining food quality and presentation standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as plating and garnishing when needed, supporting kitchen staff in food handling and safety practices
- Clear used dishes, glasses, and utensils from tables promptly to maintain a clean dining area
- Support bussing efforts by cleaning tables, resetting them for new guests, and managing trash disposal in accordance with sanitation standards
- Handle manual lifting of food trays, boxes, and supplies using safe lifting practices to prevent injury during heavy lifting tasks
- Communicate clearly with servers, kitchen staff, and guests to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness of service stations, ensuring all areas are sanitized according to food safety regulations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper sanitation procedures
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus for processing orders when needed
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and guests
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently throughout shifts
- Experience with food running, serving, or banquet service enhances your ability to excel in this role
