Job Summary
We are seeking a professional Unarmed Security Officer with a valid TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional security and customer service at a regulated facility, ensuring a safe and compliant environment for employees, visitors, and contractors.
This position involves active foot patrols, access control, and incident response — ideal for motivated professionals who thrive in dynamic environments and value teamwork and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, and contractors
- Conduct regular foot patrols of assigned areas to ensure security and safety standards are met
- Observe and report suspicious behavior, safety hazards, or policy violations
- Respond quickly and calmly to incidents or emergencies, following proper escalation procedures
- Use verbal de-escalation techniques to manage conflict situations professionally
- Provide assistance to individuals in need, including First Aid or CPR when necessary
- Document daily activities, incidents, and observations in detailed shift reports using the Belfry Real-Time Reporting System
- Maintain clear communication with site supervisors and client representatives
Qualifications
- Valid Washington State Unarmed Security License (Guard Card)
- Valid TWIC Card (required)
- CPR/First Aid and Narcan certifications (or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field required
- Strong knowledge of public safety procedures and emergency response
- Excellent communication, observation, and conflict-resolution skills
- Dependable, professional, and punctual with strong attention to detail
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
- Must have reliable transportation and availability for overnight, weekend, or holiday shifts
