SURESTAFF is immediately hiring SolidWorks Designer for a large, well-known client in Plano TX. As an SolidWorks Designer , you will be an essential part of our client’s core operations, ensuring that quality product is produced.
The SolidWorks Designer is responsible for acoustical solutions, dedicated to innovation, quality, and precision. Our production process utilizes flatbed cutting technology to craft high-performance PET felt products. As we expand, we’re looking for a hands-on designer to develop precise 3D models and streamline production processes.
SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation $25-$28 as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire.
Available shifts include Monday-Friday 7am-4pm. Overtime is available on a first come, first serve basis.

Responsibilities of the SolidWorks Designer:
- Create 3D models and production-ready drawings using SolidWorks sheet metal functions.
- Develop flat patterns optimized for cutting with industrial flatbed cutters.
- Generate detailed production drawings with Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in drafting practices.
- Work closely with engineering, production, and CNC operators to ensure smooth manufacturing execution.
- Assist in developing custom solutions based on client needs and production constraints.
- 2 years of SolidWorks experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Associate degree in Drafting or a related field preferred (SolidWorks Certification is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of flat pattern development and sheet metal design.
- Experience generating detailed production drawings and BOMs.
- Knowledge of configurations and derived configurations for efficient design modifications.
- Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
