Job Overview
Responsible for administering exceptional customer service and care to patients and employees.
Accountable for the day-to-day activities of the optometry office, including reinforcing patient education regarding insurance and optical products/services, office flow, insurance and billing accuracy, maintain patient records, smart scheduling, monitor lab orders, ensure in house lab orders meet standards, appearance of optometry office, and recall system.
Qualifications
HS Diploma/GED (Required) / Bachelors (Preferred)
Work experience in an administrative/office role: 1 year (Preferred)
Electronic Medical Records: 1 year (Preferred) / EyefinityEHR (Preferred)
Must have exceptional attention to detail
Strong organizational and time management skills, and ability to prioritize
Must be a self-starter and driven
Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and Google products
Spanish Speaking preferred
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee and support all administrative duties in the office and ensure that office is operating smoothly
Review the office for a neat, professional appearance and make necessary changes
Identify opportunities for process and office management improvements, and design and implement new procedures with doctor
Train staff for various roles as the company grows
Ensure all billing and optical orders are prompt and accurate
Help educate office policy to patients to ensure their confidence
Problem solve any situations that may arise to ensure patient satisfaction and/or staff safety
Oversee the operation of in house lab and ensure quality and same day service standards are met
Manage office inventory of products and supplies for order/reorder
Run end of day reporting and ensure future insurance is pulled and ready
Job Type: Part-time Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
Benefits: Covered vision benefits and friends and family discounts. (After 90 day period)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, No Weekends. Exception last Saturday and Sunday of the year.
Supplemental pay types: Bonus pay (After 90 day period)
