Position Overview

We are seeking 20 temporary full-time Roof Helpers to join our team. This position plays a key role in assisting roofers, supporting the installation of insulated metal panels, and ensuring job site cleanliness and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist roofers by handling, supplying, or positioning materials and tools.
• Roof Helper - This is a Prevailing Wage Job
• Perform light carpentry tasks in preparation for roofing work.
• Prepare insulated metal panels & trims for installation by removing protective materials, applying caulking, and cutting as necessary.
• Install fiberglass insulation before metal panel installation.
• Various General Laborer duties along with Roofing duties.
• Remove waste and debris, keeping the worksite clean and safe.
• Operate within temperature extremes, windy conditions, and at heights.
• Safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs for 25 yards repeatedly throughout the workday.
• Adhere to Sure Steel’s strict safety standards and protocols.
• Some weekend work may be required.

• No prior education or experience is required – on-the-job training provided.
• The role, Laborer - Roof Helper is on a Prevailing Wage Job.
• Must be comfortable working at heights and on ladders.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.

Compensation & Schedule

• $18.00-22.00/hr – Approx. 40 hours/week (Monday to Friday, 5am start time).
• Potential for higher pay based on experience and merit.
• Overtime pay is a possibility, with up to 20 overtime hours available (not guaranteed).
• Weekly paychecks, with all deductions made as required by law.
