Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Toast POS, ensuring clarity and efficiency
• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards and food safety protocols
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
• Manage table turnover efficiently by bussing and resetting tables in a timely manner
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining accountability
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth food preparation and timely delivery of orders
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices
• Use reservation management tools like Toast tables to coordinate guest seating and reservations effectively
• Provide exceptional guest services by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and fostering positive guest relations
• Assist with event setups service as needed, contributing to a lively atmosphere

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, ideally with fine dining
• Proficiency with POS systems & familiarity with POS
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle diverse guest needs
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining genuine guest engagement
• Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and order accuracy
• Previous experience in serving, bussing, host/hostess roles or hospitality settings is advantageous
• Knowledge of the food industry standards related to food preparation, kitchen operations, and guest relations
