Duties

• Greet customers warmly in both English and Spanish, providing exceptional service with enthusiasm and professionalism
• Scoop ice cream accurately and efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
• Manage customer orders using POS systems , processing transactions smoothly and accurately
• Upsell popular flavors or toppings to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
• Maintain a clean workspace by regularly sanitizing equipment, counters, and utensils in accordance with food safety standards
• Handle cash register operations, process cash and card payments, and give correct change promptly
• Restock supplies, organize display cases, and ensure the ice cream station is inviting and well-presented

Skills

• Proven experience in food preparation, serving, or quick service restaurant environments with a focus on fast-paced settings
• Familiarity with POS systems
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish
• Knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation practices, and food safety management protocols
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders swiftly during busy hours
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a retail or café setting
• Basic math skills for cash handling, processing transactions accurately, and managing sales records
• Previous retail sales or grocery store experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for food industry work is essential
