Responsibilities
- Stock shelves and displays with fresh produce, ensuring items are organized, labeled correctly, and visually appealing
- Manage inventory levels using tools such as RF scanners and inventory control systems to prevent shortages or overstocking
- Load and unload shipments efficiently, utilizing equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of produce areas, including cleaning displays and packaging stations
- Assist customers with their selections, answer questions about produce varieties, and offer product recommendations to enhance their shopping experience
- Support shipping & receiving processes by accurately processing inbound deliveries and preparing outgoing orders
- Perform regular inventory management tasks to track product freshness, rotate stock, and reduce waste through proper merchandising techniques
Skills
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and experience with RF scanners for tracking stock levels
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts safely and effectively
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual capabilities to serve diverse customer needs
- Proven organizational skills with attention to detail in stocking, merchandising, and maintaining produce displays
- Experience in retail sales, customer service, cashiering, or grocery store environments is highly desirable
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting regularly and stand for extended periods during shifts
- Knowledge of retail math for accurate pricing, weighing produce, and managing sales transactions
- Effective cleaning routines to uphold hygiene standards in produce areas
- Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures for timely product replenishment
