What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Peer Specialist position at Supreme Living?
There are two full time CPC positions available. Pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00 an hour.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Certified Peer Counselor is responsible for providing peer support, guidance, and advocacy for residents.
RESIDENT SUPPORT SERVICES:
· Conduct regular facility rounds in accordance with established policies, regulations, and procedures.
· Monitor and observe residents’ general conduct and behavior to prevent disturbances and/or elopement.
- Report concerning behavior to the Charge Nurse on duty.
· Provide 1.1 support for all assigned residents to address ongoing program concerns and personal needs.
· Provide motivational counseling and individual support to all residents.
- Aid in addressing barriers and obstacles to their recovery by sharing their own recovery stories and experiences as appropriate.
- Assist residents in developing life skills in the areas of living, learning, working, and socializing.
· Accurately and timely chart in the company EMR using the DIP method of documentation for all residents.
· Provide resource information and referrals to assist residents in developing community support systems such as developing supportive relationships, self-advocacy, stable housing, education, and employment.
· Facilitate educational groups as assigned.
- Participate in resident Treatment Teams as requested.
