Duties
- Assist with the installation of hardscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other landscape structures using hand tools and power tools
- Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and overseeding to ensure healthy, vibrant lawns
- Support landscape maintenance activities like pruning trees and shrubs, trimming hedges, planting flowers, and mulching beds
- Operate equipment such as excavators, skid steers, and other machinery safely and efficiently for site preparation and material handling
- Conduct irrigation system installation and repairs to ensure proper watering of landscaped areas
- Maintain cleanliness of work sites by removing debris, raking leaves, and preparing areas for ongoing projects or seasonal changes like snow plowing
- Support tree care activities including planting, trimming, and health assessments to promote healthy growth
Requirements
- Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment
- Experience or interest in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening or horticulture is preferred
- Ability to operate machinery such as excavators or snow plows is a plus but not required; training will be provided
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of landscaping principles including hardscape installation and tree care techniques is advantageous
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward safety and quality standards
- Prior experience in construction or landscape-related roles is beneficial but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
