In this role, you’ll work alongside our Events Manager to plan and execute a variety of events, from corporate meetings and conferences to social celebrations and community gatherings. You’ll play an important role in creating positive guest experiences while building valuable skills in event planning, vendor coordination, and event operations.

If you’re proactive, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced, people-focused environment, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

As an Events Assistant, you’ll help manage the details that turn an event plan into a successful experience.

  • Coordinate event logistics: Assist with planning timelines, venue arrangements, supplies, schedules, and event-day requirements.
  • Work with vendors: Communicate with caterers, decorators, venues, and other partners to keep plans on track.
  • Support event execution: Help prepare event spaces, coordinate setup and breakdown, and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Manage guest experiences: Assist with registration, check-in, attendee communications, and special requests.
  • Keep projects organized: Maintain event calendars, planning documents, vendor information, and other records.
  • Track budgets and expenses: Help monitor event costs, organize receipts, and maintain accurate expense records.
  • Assist with attendee travel: Coordinate transportation, accommodations, and other arrangements when needed.
  • Support event marketing: Help prepare promotional materials, event communications, and social media content.
  • Deliver excellent service: Represent the team professionally and help ensure clients and guests feel welcomed and supported.

You’ll be a strong fit if you have:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • A customer-focused attitude and a willingness to help wherever needed.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt when plans change.
  • Confidence working independently while collaborating with a team.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to event venues throughout Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends based on event schedules.

Some event assignments require standing for extended periods and lifting or moving items weighing up to 25 pounds.

What We Offer

  • Competitive annual salary: $65,000–$90,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Professional development: Opportunities to expand your event planning and coordination skills.
  • Industry exposure: Opportunities to learn about event trends and attend industry conferences.
  • Variety in your work: Experience supporting different event formats, clients, venues, and projects.
  • Room to grow: Build a foundation for future opportunities in event coordination and event management.
  • Collaborative environment: Work closely with an experienced Events Manager and a team focused on delivering quality events.

The Cincinnati Advantage
