What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at SUPPORTIVE HEALTHCARE?
Responsibilities
- Assist physician in examination and treatment of patients
- Measure vitals, record height, weight, history and other pertinent information into patient chart and prepare patients for annual wellness visits
- Obtain and enter demographic data including name, address, social, insurance, and load into electronic medical record
- Travel is required as these patients are homebound
- Related duties, including phone calls, medical records maintenance, and safety compliance
- Collaborate with team of office staff and physicians to ensure that process of prepping patient for their visit is smooth
- Build and maintain an accountable schedule for the day, ensuring that all patients are seen timely
- Medical assistant certification
