Job Overview
Supportive Care LLC is seeking a compassionate, dependable male Direct Care Staff member to provide one-on-one in-home support for an adult male receiving services. This position is ideal for someone who is patient, reliable, and committed to helping individuals maintain their independence while providing quality care in a home setting.
As a Direct Care Staff member, you will assist with daily living activities, promote independence, ensure the individual's safety, and provide respectful, person-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal care, grooming, dressing, and mobility.
- Encourage independence while providing supervision and support.
- Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping.
- Administer medications according to care plans and agency policies.
- Observe and report changes in health or behavior.
- Maintain accurate documentation.
- Follow HIPAA guidelines and all agency safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and members of the care team.
- Provide patient, professional support for individuals with behavioral needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Able to pass a Level II Background Screening
- Have reliable transportation
- Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification during the hiring process
- Experience providing direct care or caregiving services preferred
- Comfortable working independently in a home setting and supporting individuals with behaviors
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in home health, group homes, assisted living, or similar caregiving environments
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral needs
- Dependable, compassionate, and able to work independently
