Job Overview
Supportive Care LLC is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and patient Direct Care Professional to provide in-home support to an individual receiving services in Tallahassee.
The individual is non-verbal and benefits from consistent 1:1 supervision, assistance with daily living activities, encouragement with independence, and support with communication and following directions.
We are looking for someone who can commit to the following consistent schedule, with the possibility of additional hours from time to time.
Schedule
- Wednesday: 6:00 PM–8:30 PM
May be extended to 5:00 PM–9:00 PM when additional coverage is needed
- Every Other Friday: 6:00 PM–11:00 PM
- Additional hours may become available from time to time.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 supervision and support in the home
- Assist with personal care and daily living routines as needed
- Encourage participation and independence with self-care and household activities
- Provide prompting and assistance with following directions and completing tasks
- Support appropriate communication and engagement
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment
- Monitor and report changes in behavior, needs, or overall well-being
- Complete required service documentation and shift notes
- Follow Supportive Care LLC policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Requirements
- Ability to pass a Level II Background Screening
- Reliable transportation
- Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain it
- Previous caregiving or direct care experience
- Comfortable providing 1:1 support in a home setting
- Patient, dependable, compassionate, and attentive
- Able to work independently while following the individual's care and support needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting individuals who are non-verbal
- Experience assisting with personal care and activities of daily living
- Experience using prompting and supportive communication techniques

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
