Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role is crucial in promoting positive behavior changes and enhancing the quality of life for our clients through effective behavioral therapy techniques.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA.
- Conduct data collection on client behaviors and progress to inform treatment decisions.
- Assist in developing care plans tailored to each client's unique needs.
- Provide support in behavior management strategies to promote positive outcomes.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of client interactions and progress.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
- Engage in patient care activities, ensuring the comfort and safety of clients during sessions.
- Support clients in various settings, including home, school, or community environments.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Experience
Ideal candidates will possess the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to behavioral health.
- Familiarity with special education practices and strategies.
- Experience in behavioral therapy techniques and interventions.
- Strong understanding of data collection methods for tracking client progress.
- Ability to create and implement effective care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with families and team members.
