Direct Support Professional Opportunity in Secaucus
Seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide hands-on, in home support to an individual with developmental disabilities in Secaucus, NJ.
Position Details:
- Location: Secaucus
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 11:30 AM - 2:30 PM
- Pay: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with transfers
- Toileting
- Feeding
- Hands-on hygiene support
- Activities of daily living
Prior DSP or caregiving experience preferred but not required; training provided.
Job Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Some experience in a related field is preferred.
· Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
· Must be 18 or older.
· Must take a criminal background check and mandatory drug screening.
· Required to cooperate with Department of Human Services staff for any inspections, inquiries, or investigation.
· Must successfully complete and demonstrate proficiency in all areas of required training as per DDD Standards. Such as CPR, First Aid, Emergency Procedures, Medication Administration (if applicable)
· Ability to provide mobility support and physical transfers.
· Strong interpersonal communication, problem solving, and writing skills.
· Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
· Other duties as needed.
