Position: Vocational Job Coach – Stillwater Recycling Center
Location: Stillwater, OK
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday – Friday

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and punctual Vocational Job Coach to provide essential support and job training for individuals with developmental disabilities at our recycling center. This role involves encouraging independence, teaching practical skills related to material recovery, and fostering positive interactions with both client workers and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Job Training & Support: Provide hands-on vocational training and supervision for client workers in all recycling center operations (sorting, weighing, baling, organization, etc.).
Customer Interaction: Assist and train client workers in providing excellent customer service, including weighing materials, handling transactions, and directing drop-offs.
Safety Leadership: Act as a primary safety leader, implementing and reinforcing all workplace safety protocols specific to a recycling environment (e.g., proper lifting, PPE usage, equipment caution).
Documentation & Communication: Maintain accurate written documentation (progress notes, incident reports) and engage in clear verbal communication with customers, co-workers, and the Vocational Coordinator.
Behavioral Support: Interact with individuals in an emotionally supportive manner, implementing behavior programs and strategies, and intervening effectively when aggressive or inappropriate behavior occurs.
Program Implementation: Implement all individualized protocols, plans, and programs for individuals as specified in their Individualized Plan (IP).
Punctuality & Operations: Ensure punctual arrival at 7:00 AM to open the facility and begin daily operations promptly, providing consistent training and structure for client workers.
Role Modeling: Serve as a positive role model in attitude, professionalism, and appearance for all client workers.
Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or experience in a vocational, warehouse, or recycling setting is strongly preferred.
Skill Set: Must be punctual, friendly, possess strong communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to lead and train others effectively.
Must be able to pull and back a trailer.
