Support Services of Virginia is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join our team and provide support to people with developmental disabilities in Virginia Beach. We are looking for people who are friendly and positive, open minded and flexible, engaged in the community, and like to be active. As a Direct Support Professional, you will support people in finding a balance between what is important to and important for them to help them live the lives of their choosing.

We offer 24-hour services and are hiring for day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts. DSPs should expect to work a minimum of two weekend shifts per month as part of their regular schedule. No matter the time of day, you’ll make a real difference in people’s lives. Join us to help empower others and create a lasting impact in your community.

Virtual interviews and training are provided via Zoom.

Compensation

 • Starting pay: $14.50 per hour
• Potential increase to $15.00 per hour after training and medication certification clearance
 • All certifications must be verified

Requirements

 • Proof of highest level of education
 • Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks and tuberculosis screening
 • Ability to obtain and maintain First Aid/CPR/AED Certification, Medicaid Waiver Certification, and Direct Support Professional Core Competencies
 • Strong communication and time management skills
 • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
