Inventory Control Manager to lead our warehouse inventory operations. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory data through effective management of systems, processes, and people. The ideal candidate will drive excellence in inventory accuracy, item setup, bin location precision, and slotting compliance while continuously improving control measures across the facility. The ideal candidate is meticulous, highly organized, and experienced with warehouse management systems (WMS). While this is not an exhaustive list, the following are essential areas of focus and duties:
• Systematic Inputs: Maintain and manage the accuracy of all inventory-related data in the warehouse management system (WMS). Ensure all transactions, adjustments, and movements are timely and correctly recorded.
• Inventory Accuracy: Lead initiatives to maintain high inventory accuracy, including audits, reconciliation processes, and root cause analysis of discrepancies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve inventory issues.
• New Item Setup: Oversee the accurate and timely setup of new SKUs in inventory systems, ensuring correct descriptions, units of measure, locations, and handling instructions are applied.
• Cycle Counts: Develop and manage an effective cycle count program to proactively detect and correct inventory variances. Analyze results and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Bin Location Accuracy: Ensure all bin locations are correctly mapped and labeled in the WMS. Conduct regular validations and audits of bin accuracy to optimize picking and storage efficiency.
• Slotting Adherence: Monitor and enforce compliance with established slotting strategies to improve space utilization, reduce travel time, and support operational efficiency.
Qualifications:Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5 years of inventory control or warehouse operations experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferred.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (WMS/ERP).
• Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement certification, preferred.
• Experience in high-volume distribution or fulfillment centers, preferred.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with frequent standing, walking, and lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
• Flexibility to support multiple shifts as needed (days, nights, weekends)
