Job Description
Senior level IT position with responsibility for Solutions Architecture in the North America and LATAM regions. Areas of responsibility include responding to requests for new or expanded IT Products and Solutions; support of global and regional DSC strategy and innovation initiatives; and rationalization and global alignment of regional IT portfolio.
• Establishes IT Products and IT Solutions (referred to as “IT solutions” in this document) in support of projects and initiatives
• Follows IT product take-on processes as defined for the region, including:
- Maintains Enterprise Solutions Center Initiative entries in adherence with global processes and standards
- Defines business and technical requirements and baseline specifications such as SLAs in collaboration with BU IT, Operations, and solution teams to understand customer needs (e.g., BRD, CoO, and CoS deliverables)
- Reviews existing IT portfolio solutions and proposed 3rd party vendor solutions and identifies, documents and communicates gaps
- Identifies candidate 3rd party vendors and applications that meet the business and technical requirements
- Facilitates RFI processes as defined by the regional Application & Technical Architect team and IT Security team
- Documents goodness of fit matrixes, business scenarios, and test cases to support vendor/application reviews
- Facilitates goodness of fit review process with application vendors and internal project teams
- Develops cost models for new IT solutions in collaboration with the Application & Technical Architecture team
- Develops recommendations for IT solutions for review and approval with regional Sr. IT Management and global Solutions Architecture Forum
- Defines IT Planning and Architecture tasks and activities within project plans
- Communicates status of Solution Architecture tasks to project management and senior IT management
- Transitions new IT solution to regional Application team at conclusion of IT product take-on
- Incorporates new IT solutions into the regional IT portfolio
• Manages Solution Architecture projects following DePICT and IT Planning and Architecture methodologies
• Liaises with the Application & Technical Architecture team and IT Security team in IT product take-on & other initiatives
• Liaises with global and cross-regional IT Planning and Architecture teams in initiatives and Solution Architecture process definitions, including continuous improvement of IT solutions that DSC delivers and supports as needed
• Liaises with regional Applications team to ensure smooth transition of new IT solutions and to ensure ongoing adherence to regional and global IT product lifecycle processes and standards
• Establishes and documents IT product take-on process and related processes and standards
• Defines and maintains regional IT initiatives and solutions catalog and repository within regional IT Planning and Architecture eShare site and global Enterprise Solutions Center (ESC):
- IT Initiative documents such as IT Planning and Architecture requests and related information
- IT product take-on documents and other artifacts within ESC and within eShare site
- IT product take-on and related process definitions and standards
Required Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or equivalent 10 years IT experience, required
• 11 years experience in an IT environment, required
• 10 years experience with various database and application technology, required
