The core responsibilities of this role include: Performing electric forklift repair and conducting preventative maintenance to MHE, battery changer and chargers. Performing repairs and preventative maintenance of dock doors, hydraulic levelers, dock door components and conveyorsPerforming preventative maintenance of various types of production equipment such as shrink wrap machine, balers and conveyors. Demonstrate a good understanding of industrial electricity and possessing basic knowledge of equipment electrical controls. PLC and HVAC/R knowledge is a plus.
Position: Weekday Days First (1st) Shift Forklift Operator
Shift: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm Monday - Friday
Pay: $25.00 per hour plus $1.00 cooler pay = $26.00

- Perform all repairs on forklifts, conveyors, maintenance equipment and other warehouse power equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance programs on all machines and equipment to ensure service reliability.
- Ensure all maintenance work performed both internally and externally is performed to company standards.
- Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Role Purpose:
Maintain and repair the warehouse vehicles including all forklift, trailers, conveyors and power equipment. Provide mechanical support, including diagnosis and solution, for a dedicated delivery system including preventative maintenance, major repairs, and accident repairs. Also responsible for the general maintenance of the building and facilities including water, heating, air conditioning, and electrical maintenance.
Key Accountabilities:
- Schedule daily maintenance work.
- Perform all repairs on forklifts, conveyors, maintenance equipment and other warehouse power equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance programs on all machines and equipment to ensure service reliability.
- Review pre-trip and post-trip inspection forms for immediate maintenance requirements.
- Ensure all maintenance work performed both internally and externally is performed to company standards.
- Monitor vehicle condition and performance to ensure driver compliance of company driving policies.
- Manage parts inventory at the most economic level for efficient operation of the system.
- Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.
- Maintain HVAC system.
- Do minor maintenance as needed for water and electrical repairs.
- Carry out preventative maintenance programs.
- Perform maintenance or general carpentry on items such as floors, walls, doors, etc.
- Ensure all safety equipment is in proper working order.
- Complete required reports when maintenance tasks are completed.
- Answer security/alarm calls as needed.
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Pass Department of Transportation exam
- Pass a mechanical aptitude test
- 2 years of previous facility maintenance experience
- 6 months related experience
- 2-5 years equipment maintenance experience
- 1 year of fleet experience
