Locations:Surry, VA – Electrical disciplineWaterford, CT – Mechanical discipline (welding, piping, mechanical systems)Employment Type: Contract (40 hrs/week, 2080 project hours) Schedule: Standard 8‑hour days; project-driven adjustments possible Travel: 0% Compensation: $55–$75/hr per diem Reporting To: Construction Superintendent Note: This is not a Construction Manager, PM, or Supervisor role.MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONSMinimum 3 years of nuclear power plant construction experienceDiscipline experience in electrical or mechanical/welding/pipingExperience providing vendor oversightAbility to work onsite full-time in a nuclear facilityStrong documentation, communication, and organizational skillsPosition LevelsLevel 1 — Nuclear Construction SpecialistEducation & Experience (one of the following):2–3 years relevant experience Bachelor’s degree4 years relevant experience Associate degree6 years relevant experience High School Diploma/GEDTechnical Background:Construction/project experience in mechanical, welding, electrical, or related craftExperience planning or implementing construction projectsExposure to design engineering or draftingKnowledge of mechanical design, procedures, and applicable codesFamiliarity with nuclear modification processesSystems Proficiency:MaximoSAPDocTopMicrosoft OfficePAMS (Plant Asset Management System)Preferred:Dominion PSEDPN (Electrical) or PSMDPN (Mechanical)I&C Development ProgramEquivalent nuclear facility experienceLevel 2 — Senior Nuclear Construction SpecialistEducation & Experience (one of the following):5–6 years relevant experience Bachelor’s degree7 years relevant experience Associate degree9 years relevant experience High School Diploma/GEDTechnical Background:Strong construction/project experience with increasing responsibilityHands-on project management in mechanical, welding, electrical, or craft disciplinesAdvanced knowledge of mechanical design and nuclear modification proceduresSystems Proficiency: Same as Level 1, with demonstrated advanced capability.Preferred: Same as Level 1.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport planning and execution of construction activities within a nuclear facilityManage and document physical plant modifications following established proceduresCoordinate with mechanical, welding, electrical, and I&C craft teamsUse Maximo, SAP, PAMS, and DocTop for tracking, documentation, and complianceEnsure adherence to mechanical design standards and nuclear codesProvide technical leadership and maintain accurate project documentationUphold strict nuclear safety and quality protocolsWork EnvironmentActive nuclear power plant construction settingSafety‑sensitive role requiring adherence to nuclear safety standardsMay require site-specific training, badging, and security clearanceApplication InstructionsDeadline: March 9, 2026 Qualified candidates should submit a resume highlighting:Nuclear construction or project experienceElectrical or mechanical discipline experienceVendor oversight responsibilitiesProficiency with Maximo, SAP, PAMS, DocTopCompletion of any relevant development programs
