Arborist Apprentice
SuperTrees provides trees and tree related services to municipalities across the northwest with divisions in Oregon, Utah, and Colorado.
Currently we are looking for an individual to join our Utah division as an arborist apprentice while working towards an ISA arborist certification.
JOB SUMMARY
The Arborist Apprentice is responsible for performing the day-to-day operations assigned to them and working with and reporting directly to their Crew Leader. They must be able to complete work according to instructions, operate heavy equipment, be able to lift heavy materials, and have a clean driving record. This hands-on position will provide the opportunity to develop/complete a solid foundation in all aspects of arboriculture.
Typical projects include:
- Large scale tree planting projects for municipalities
- Structural Pruning
- Tree removals
- Stump grinding
- Plant Health Care (Trunk Injections, Root Collar Excavation, Disease management)
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
This is an ever-changing work environment that requires you to adapt to the demands of the job. You must be able to multitask and think ahead to avoid obstacles in order to complete the work on time.
- Clean driving record
- Awareness of marked and unmarked underground utilities
- Understanding of proper tree planting
- Teamwork and communication
