What You’ll Do

  • Placement Mastery: Own the end-to-end placement process for commercial lines (GL, Property, BOP, WC, Auto, Cyber, EPLI, and more) for small and mid-sized businesses across the U.S.
  • Matrix-Driven Precision: Use our technology to scientifically match clients to the right products, carriers, and coverages – no more “one-size-fits-all” quoting.
  • Carrier Negotiation: Leverage our carrier relationships and API-powered submission tools to get the best terms, fastest turnarounds, and most competitive options for every client.
  • Client Advocacy: Serve as the “go-to” expert for complex placements, market navigation, and creative solutions – especially for hard-to-place or emerging risks.
  • Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with Account Managers, Producers, and Service teams to ensure seamless onboarding, renewals, and ongoing optimization.
  • Continuous Improvement: Help us refine our placement playbooks, share market intelligence, and pilot new tools and automations.

Required Qualifications

  • 2 years of commercial lines placement or underwriting experience (agency, carrier, or MGA/MGU).
  • Deep familiarity with core and specialty commercial products (GL, Property, WC, BOP, EPLI, Cyber, etc.).
  • Comfort with digital platforms, comparative raters, and AMS/CRM systems (Applied Epic, Tarmika, IVANS, etc. a plus).
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Property & Casualty license required (or ability to obtain quickly).
  • Must be based in Miami, FL area and able to work in-office in downtown Miami (Wells Fargo tower).


Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry certifications such as Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) or Certified Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU).
  • Experience in a growth-oriented or multi-carrier agency environment.

  • Determining the most appropriate carrier and coverage structure for client needs.
  • Deciding when to remarket accounts or pursue alternative placement strategies.
  • Negotiating pricing and terms with carriers within established authority.
  • Managing prioritization of placement tasks and daily workflow.
  • Determining when to escalate a placement or carrier issue to leadership.

  • Consistently binds policies with high accuracy, ensuring all coverage and documentation are error-free and compliant.
  • Achieves or exceeds internal timelines for new business and renewal placements, contributing to strong close ratios and smooth client onboarding.
  • Builds and maintains strong carrier relationships that result in competitive terms, faster responses, and improved placement outcomes.
  • Provides clear, proactive communication to Sales Agents, Account Managers and Clients, enabling seamless collaboration and pipeline visibility.
  • Helps improve agency quote-to-bind conversion rates through strong placement execution and negotiation.
  • Supports high client retention through thoughtful remarketing strategies and accurate renewal placement execution.
  • Demonstrates full adherence to Applied Epic workflows, documentation standards, and compliance protocols, ensuring audit-ready files.
  • Actively adopts and leverages digital tools – including quoting platforms, Epic workflows, and AI-enabled processes – to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Identifies recurring placement challenges and contributes to building scalable, repeatable SOPs across the placement function.
  • Builds a strong internal reputation as a reliable, solutions-driven placement expert who elevates the overall client experience and operational quality.
