Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify pest activity and assess risk levels using entomology knowledge.
- Apply pesticides and chemical agents safely and accurately following pesticide management guidelines and safety protocols.
- Operate company vehicles, power tools, hand tools, farm machinery, and ladder equipment to access hard-to-reach areas for pest control treatments.
- Implement integrated pest management techniques by combining mechanical, biological, and chemical methods to control pests effectively.
- Adhere strictly to safety procedures including respiratory protection, confined space entry safety procedures, ladder safety procedures, and chemical handling protocols.
- Communicate clearly with clients to explain treatment plans, answer questions, and provide ongoing support for pest control needs.
- Maintain detailed records of pesticide applications, safety compliance, equipment maintenance, and service reports for regulatory purposes.
Qualifications
- Prior outdoor work experience in lawn care, farming, landscaping or agriculture is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with familiarity in using hand tools, power tools, ladders, farm machinery, or other equipment.
- Knowledge of pesticide application methods and pesticide management practices aligned with safety standards.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to operate a company vehicle safely and responsibly; valid driver’s license required.
- Understanding of pest control chemical handling procedures and integrated pest management principles.
- Physical ability to perform outdoor tasks including ladder use, manual labor with hand tools or power tools, and working in various weather conditions.
