The Opportunity
We are seeking a talented Associate to join our investment team. Superlinear Partners was founded by entrepreneurs and operates with permanent, long-term capital — unconstrained by the pressures of a traditional fund lifecycle. This is a high-impact, generalist role where Associates are core members of deal teams from day one, with broad exposure across sourcing, execution, and portfolio management.
Responsibilities
Drive proprietary deal origination through direct outreach, sector mapping, and relationship development with business owners, intermediaries, and industry contacts. Sourcing is central to how Superlinear operates.
Identify and evaluate new investment opportunities through proactive pipeline development, market research, and competitive landscape analysis
Lead financial modeling, including operating models, returns analyses, and scenario / sensitivity analyses
Conduct deep industry research to develop and pressure-test investment theses
Prepare investment memoranda, management presentations, and transaction materials
Support end-to-end due diligence across financial, commercial, legal, and operational workstreams
Interface with management teams, advisors, lenders, and other deal counterparties
Monitor portfolio companies through board preparation, KPI tracking, and value creation initiatives
Qualifications
0–3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or a related field
Genuine interest in one or more of our core sectors: business & tech services, manufacturing, industrials, or healthcare services
Entrepreneurial mindset with a genuine willingness to engage in direct sourcing, cold outreach, and independent idea generation
Exceptional analytical ability and attention to detail, with sound commercial and business judgment
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to distill complex ideas clearly and concisely
Bachelor's degree with outstanding academic credentials

Compensation Range: $95K - $200K
Salary : $95,000 - $200,000
