CLASS A CDL DRIVER
Superior Rents, a rapidly growing construction equipment rental company with four locations, currently has an excellent career opportunity for a Class A CDL Driver. Superior Rents has been serving our construction equipment rental customers for over 10 years with record setting growth and achievement. SUMMARY
The delivery driver distributes equipment promptly to Superior Rents customers. The driver is responsible for loading/unloading the equipment and assisting with usage questions as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Load equipment before departing rental yard or job site.
- Safely unload equipment at job site and professionally interact with customers
- Review delivery with customers to ensure equipment meets their needs
- Obtain delivery confirmation from each customer
- Flatbed experience a plus
- Equipment operating and hauling desired

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. Exposure to a combination of normal office type environments and shop environments.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. and some Saturdays, 7:00 a.m. to 12 p.m.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Valid Class A CDL
3. Air Brakes
4. Ability to pass company driving test, background check and drug test
5. Strong customer service skills

OTHER DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:
- Provide excellent customer service to each and every customer with whom you come in contact.
- Ability to identify equipment's purpose and provide relative information in helping to ensure the customer has rented the proper equipment for their project.
- Knowledge of routine maintenance and basic trouble-shooting requirements of all rental equipment.
- Ensure all needed accessories are included, loaded and added to the rental contract prior to leaving the branch.
- Load/Unload equipment for customers using care to avoid any damage to vehicle or equipment.
- Properly secure every load, every time per company guidelines.
- Check equipment in upon return.
- Clean equipment after each rental. Follow service procedures for each item. Thoroughly test equipment for proper operation. Return equipment to the appropriate rental ready line.
- Must have knowledge of company policies and all department procedures and follow them at all times.
- Keep work area clean and orderly, with daily cleaning of the yard, wash rack, front bench, rental storage areas, and drive thru.
- Be able to perform duties with minimal supervision. maintaining a strong work ethic at all times. Be responsible.
