Construction Senior Estimator (Columbus, OH)

Position: Senior Estimator

Reports to: Director, Estimating

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Pay Range: $100,000 - $120,000

We consider several factors when preparing a compensation package for successful candidates.

Superior is seeking a Senior Estimator who will be responsible for interpreting drawings, reading specifications, and conduct takeoff on certain items. The ideal candidate must have the willingness to learn new technology and estimating software, have strong technical and communication skills, and work well in a team environment. This role is based at our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities

• Reading and understanding of contract drawings and project specifications
• Perform takeoff of electric items, consisting of light fixtures, branch power devices and fire alarm device
• Work with vendors and QA estimates
• Lead projects and coordinate and support with internal teams to ensure alignment of scope
• Conducts site visits to understand practical field installation requirements
• Works closely with project management team on change order pricing

• You demonstrate leadership by guiding others and providing clarity on what needs to be done

Your Expertise

• Required: You have at least 7 years of experience in commercial construction estimating
• Bonus Points: You earned an Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related field
• Bonus Points: You have experience using Accubid and/or Bluebeam
• Bonus Points: You have experience in electrical commercial construction
