What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Delivery Driver position at Superior Wholesale (West Olive, MI)?
Superior Wholesale seeks experienced, organized, and professional delivery drivers to operate out of our West Michigan farm. This is a part-time driver position, with the opportunity to be full-time, through the option of working on our wholesale farm. Applicants are required to hold, at least, a valid Michigan CDL B license.
This position will work closely with our farm managers to help facilitate deliveries of live plants across the Mid-West (MI, OH, IN, IL). This position may occasionally require overnight travel (expenses paid by the company).
What you'll do:
- Safely operate company-owned box trucks in accordance with all applicable federal/local laws and regulations
- Perform routine safety and maintenance checks to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Advise management of any required maintenance repairs
- Work with the logistics manager to finalize delivery routes based on customer needs and requirements
- Provide ideas for improvement relating to scheduling, delivery procedures, communication, customer service, etc.
- Load and unload all products required for delivery. Farm staff will be available to help load.
Note: This is a seasonal position with a majority of work taking place between March to November. Additional hours may be available during the off-season.
What is required:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a commercial delivery driver
- Ability to pass a mandatory drug screening at any point during employment
- Customer service experience with a professional attitude
- Ability to safely drive in direct automotive traffic
- Availability to work 8 hours per day with applicable breaks
- Comfortability and competence to work in extreme weather conditions
- Physical strength to lift/carry up to 75 lbs. of live plants

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per year
