Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Sales Associate / Cashier to join our smoke shop team. The ideal candidate must have prior smoke shop experience and be knowledgeable about vape products, tobacco items, and accessories.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with selecting vape, tobacco, and smoke shop products
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service throughout their shopping experience
- Verify customer IDs to ensure 21 age compliance
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly
- Handle cash, credit, and debit payments with precision and adherence to cash handling procedures
- Assist customers with product demos and upselling to enhance their shopping experience and increase sales
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented.
- Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory management to keep the store well-stocked and organized.
- Support team members by supervising or mentoring new staff members when needed.
- Follow all Washington State laws and regulations.
- Assist with opening and closing duties (register count, cleaning, security checks)
- Engage in basic retail math to manage transactions, discounts, and pricing adjustments effectively.
Requirements:
- Must be 21 years or older
- Previous smoke shop experience is required
- Knowledge of vape devices, e-liquids, and tobacco products.
- Able to work 12 hours in a day.
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy boxes (inventory shipments)
- Cash handling experience
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Pay:
$17.25– $18.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule:
- Day and evening shifts available
- Weekend availability required
