Position Summary
The CCTV Operator is responsible for operating robotic camera systems to inspect storm and sewer lines, documenting findings, and ensuring accurate data collection for repair and maintenance planning. The ideal candidate has experience with underground utility inspection technology, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Operate CCTV camera equipment to inspect storm and sewer pipelines
- Record, code, and document defects using standardized condition assessment software (ex: WinCan, POSM, or similar)
- Perform routine maintenance, setup, and troubleshooting of camera systems
- Prepare accurate inspection reports and communicate findings to supervisors
- Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe work environment
- Assist field crews as needed, including jetting and cleaning support
- Maintain clean and organized equipment and vehicles
Qualifications
- Experience as a CCTV operator for sewer/storm lines preferred
- Familiarity with NASSCO/PACP certification highly preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting ability
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments
- Strong communication and documentation skills
