Overview
Looking for an Experienced Escrow/Closing Agent who is motivated, organized and detail oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high volume office while delivering superior customer service.
Responsibilities
- Complete the real estate closing process from start to finish.
- Review and clear title requirements with assistance from the title department.
- Coordinate and schedule closings.
- Prepare and review closing documents, settlement statements, and balance the transaction.
- Facilitate the closing with all signers, and ensure all documents are executed correctly.
- Disburse all closing funds, record and file closing documents.
- Review contracts, mortgage documents to confirm adherence to legal requirements.
- Manage the preparation of closing packages and facilitate the signing process efficiently.
- Verify that all required signatures are obtained and that documents are properly executed for funding.
- Maintain detailed records of all closing activities in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Stay updated on changes in mortgage laws, fair housing regulations, and banking practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
Experience
- Experience in Real Estate, Mortgage Lending or Title Industry
- Effective prioritization and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Notary Public in the State of Michigan or ability to obtain.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with contracts, escrow procedures, and bank documentation.
- Familiarity with mortgage processing systems and 10-key typing skills is beneficial.
- Basic math skills for calculations related to escrow amounts, interest rates, and other financial figures.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills.
