Mechanical or Structural Engineer

Superior Structures Inc. is a design, build, steel fabrication company that specializes in outdoor structures and garden centers across the United States and beyond. At our facility, we take a steel structure from design to fabrication to onsite construction. With 100,000 sq ft of space, we have a full weld shop, 2 tube lasers, and a large table laser at our disposal as well as a couple of press brakes. Over the past 26 years Superior Structures Inc. has been rapidly growing with no end in sight.

Responsibilities:

 Create shop drawings as needed

 Help keep manufacturing run efficiently and explore new ideas

 Manage projects from beginning to end

 Keep track of BOMs and ordering materials

 Help other engineers with day-to-day duties

Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s Degree in related field

 Minimum of 5 years of previous experience

 Ability to be open minded and have a hands-on approach

 Proficient in using Revit and / or Inventor

 Able to interpret architectural drawings and convert them to shop drawings

 Able to stay organized and be able to communicate information from the drawing to the

manufacturing floor and help where needed

 Able to be a team player, meet deadlines, solve problems and multitask

 Knowledge of laser cutting, part nesting, and metal bending with a press break is a plus

 Be read to change direction at a moment’s notice to meet a new deadline

 Travel maybe required from time to time

 Work overtime when needed
