Test Technician – 1st & 2nd Shift

Pay: $23–$25/hour
- 1st shift: 6:30am – 3:00pm, Monday–Friday
- 2nd shift: 3:00pm – 11:30pm, Monday–Friday

Superior Skilled Trades is hiring Test Technicians for a leading aerospace manufacturer in Windsor, CT. This role is a key link between assembly and advanced technical service, perfect for candidates with hands-on electrical/mechanical experience looking to advance in their career.
Position Summary
The Test Technician is responsible for monitoring and performing test procedures within production and manufacturing to ensure high-quality products. This role requires precision, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to follow technical specifications.
Responsibilities
- Review product specs and blueprints for scheduled work assignments.
- Prepare units for testing (install instruments, preset controls, fill fluids).
- Check wiring and flows using proper documentation.
- Perform functional testing using approved procedures and equipment.
- Record, calculate, and report test data.
- Conduct final runs and prepare units for shipment.
- Maintain accurate time logs and ensure a clean, safe work area.
Qualifications
- 2 years of related technical experience.
- Strong knowledge of testing machines, equipment, and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measuring tools.
- Working knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, hydraulics, air conditioning, and diesel engine applications.
- EPA refrigerant certification (Type II or Universal) preferred but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders, kneel, bend, and stand for long periods.
- Comfortable working in restricted spaces and uneven terrain.
