Location: East Hanover, NJ 07936
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. (occasional Saturdays)
Pay Rate: $25.00/hour
Duration: 11/17/2025 – 2/20/2026 (approx. 13 weeks)
Job Overview
Superior Skilled Trades is hiring a QC Lab Technician to support a leading manufacturing and testing facility in East Hanover, NJ. The QC Lab Tech will perform analytical and physical testing of raw materials, production batches, and research samples to ensure product quality and compliance with technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct chemical and physical tests on solids, liquids, and gases following ASTM, SAE, and FTM methods.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain performance testing equipment and analytical instruments.
- Perform aviation-specific and viscometric testing, tribology, foam/emulsion, and grease evaluations.
- Use analytical techniques such as ICP, HPLC, GC, FTIR, and gravimetric Millipore filtration.
- Execute wet chemistry titrations, including Karl Fischer and total acid/base number tests.
- Maintain control charts, document test data, and identify deviations or trends.
- Support production testing and approve line samples for packaging.
- Ensure accurate documentation and data entry using SAP.
- Participate in internal/external quality audits and support safety and 5S initiatives.
Qualifications
- Education: BS in a scientific field (Chemistry preferred) or AS degree with relevant lab experience.
- Experience: Prior work in a QC, analytical, or R&D lab setting is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Familiarity with ASTM test methods and laboratory instrumentation
- Strong documentation and data entry accuracy
- Knowledge of SAP or similar systems a plus
- Safety-minded and detail-oriented
