Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a Lead Structured Cabling Installer for a Temp-to-Hire opportunity in the Brevard County / Greater Orlando, FL area.

- PAY: $30–$40/hr. (based on experience)
- HOURS: Expected shifts will be 10-hour days starting at 7:00 AM
- SCHEDULE: Expected work schedule is Monday–Friday; approximately 40-50 hours/week

Lead Structured Cabling Installer Job Description:
The Lead Structured Cabling Installer will oversee and execute the installation of copper and fiber optic cabling infrastructure on commercial and government projects throughout Brevard County and the greater Orlando area. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring advanced technical expertise, strong project coordination skills, and the ability to mentor and direct field crews while serving as a client-facing representative.
Qualifications for Lead Structured Cabling Installer:
- BICSI Installer 2 – Copper certification required
- BICSI Installer 2 – Fiber Optic certification required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a lead or supervisory structured cabling role
- Minimum 7 years of structured cabling field experience
- Expert-level experience with Cat6, Cat6A, and Cat8 copper termination, testing, and certification
- Expert-level experience with single-mode and multi-mode fiber splicing, termination, and OTDR testing
- Proficiency using Fluke DSX, OptiFiber Pro, or equivalent testing equipment
- Strong knowledge of TIA-568, TIA-569, TIA-606 standards, and NEC cabling requirements
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, project scopes, and construction documents
- Experience leading crews of 3–10 technicians
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Valid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must be able to safely use hand and power tools and wear PPE
- Must be able to perform job duties that require standing, climbing ladders, crouching, working at heights, and lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- Position requires the use of PPE, including steel-toe work boots, a hard hat, a safety vest, gloves, and safety glasses
Preferred Qualifications:
- BICSI RCDD certification or actively working toward certification
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Experience with healthcare, government, or DoD projects
- Experience preparing structured cabling quotes and estimates
- Familiarity with vendor pricing portals such as Anixter, Graybar, and ScanSource
- Experience with OSP fiber installation, DAS systems, and low-voltage infrastructure
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or Bluebeam

- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must have reliable transportation to the job site
- Must be able to pass a background check for government and federal site access
